Grab a helmet, hop on a bike, and get to know charismatic Thessaloniki on two wheels. Explore magnificent monuments, discover the city’s coolest cafes and hang-out spots, glide along the picturesque waterfront and find out more about Thessaloniki’s thrilling ancient past and how it has transformed itself into Greece’s second largest and most important city in recent years.

Grab your helmet, recharge your camera or smartphone batteries and get ready to explore Thessaloniki on two wheels. Our bike tour is designed for everyone who likes to stay active on holiday and is a great activity that the whole family can enjoy.

Your tour will consist of a gentle hour-long bike ride at the beginning, followed by a stroll around the city that will incorporate some special refreshment and cultural stops. The charming capital of the Greek region of Macedonia, is famous for its scintillating history (Alexander The Great! Paul the Apostle! Ataturk!) and laid-back vibes that can be summed up by the Greek world halara, which means ‘take it easy.’ During this E-bike tour, you’ll get to ride along the city’s phenomenal waterfront, discover hidden gems, and see some of Thessaloniki’s most famous landmarks.

After meeting your guide at the iconic Lefkos Pyrgos (White Tower), the famous landmark of the city, you’ll pick up your bike and helmet, and head out on a ride of discovery to spot the city’s main tourist attractions and art works. We’ll make our way along Thessaloniki’s scenic waterfront and pedestrian streets, where your guide will point out some of their favorite places for authentic food and kicking back with a drink.

Along the New Promenade of Thessaloniki, constructed in 2013 and already internationally awarded, we'll ride through 12 thematic parks and a quaint little café, great spots that locals love to visit to socialize. From the end of the New Promenade where the Concert Hall of Thessaloniki is located, we'll admire incredible sunset views of Thessaloniki and the mythical Mount Olympus.

Next, we’ll head to the Old Promenade of Thessaloniki and the city center’s bohemian neighborhood where pedestrian streets and hidden back alleys are packed with hipster bars, boho-style cafes, award-winning restaurants, monumental spots, and other secrets!

Now it’s time to relax your muscles in a favourite spot where you’ll wake up those taste buds with some traditional Greek fast food and then sweeten your palate with a delicious traditional desert.

Before our tour ends, we’ll drop off our bikes so that we can take a short walk to one of the city’s most beautiful and historical mansions. It used to belong to a wealthy family, but now operates as an all-day bar. Here we’ll grab a craft beer and hear stories of how the beer tradition started in Greece (the very first Greek brewery was founded in Athens in 1840). During warmer days, we’ll enjoy our beer in the bar’s shaded garden, and on cooler days we’ll grab a seat indoors.

Here, your tour comes to an end, but you’re very welcome to stay and try a few more craft beers with your new friends. Before you go, don’t forget to ask your local guide for more hints and tips on how to get the best out of your trip to buzzing Thessaloniki.
