Program details

Pass through the stunning Braulio Carrillo National Park in Sarapiqui, a beautiful area known for its impressive natural riches. Board a boat for a relaxing ride on the Sarapiqui River where you will come into close contact with the wildlife and admire the inspiring surroundings. After the boat ride, continue with a walk on Selva Verde Eco Lodge’s private nature trails, a heaven for nature enthusiasts, hikers, bird watchers and wildlife fans alike. The Lodge is situated in some of the last primary premontane rainforests in Costa Rica, and the incredible wildlife of the area ranges from brightly coloured macaws to tiny tropical frogs, noisy monkeys to beautiful butterflies.

Following a tasty lunch head back to San José via the famous Atlantic Rainforest Aerial Tram, situated in 1,200 acres of private reserve that borders the Braulio Carrillo National Park, creating a buffer zone between the pristine nature of the park and the farming lands beyond. Here you can climb aboard a gondola for a fantastic ride through the tree canopy in the company of an expert naturalist guide, who will tell you everything you could wish to know about the wonders of the Costa Rican rainforest.
