Discover the hidden paradise of the Portillo Resort, one of Chile’s finest ski resorts, nestled in the shoulders of the breath-taking Andes Mountains. This excursion takes you away from Valparaiso and high into the longest mountain range on Earth. Portillo is located 145 kilometres north of Santiago, close to the Argentine border, cradled within a stunning Andean valley between the peaks of Mount Ojos de Agua and Mount La Parva. From Portillo it is even easy to spot the single tallest mountain in the Americas, the almost 7.000 meter high Aconcagua.

The ride to Portillo is long bust thoroughly enjoyable. The beauty of the landscapes that soar by your window is stunning and it will make you feel far from your day to day worries.

Once you get to Portillo, enjoy a leisurely wander through this magnificent ski resort. You are also invited to sit down at the hotel restaurant and taste some of the finest Chilean cuisine. From this fabulous eatery, you can enjoy the otherworldly view of the emerald coloured Inca Lagoon, with a backdrop of snow-capped mountains. Throughout the day, you will be given long distended times in which explore the wonderful area.

To complete the experience, the drive back to Valparaiso holds one more surprise in store: a drive through the picturesque fruit-packing and wine-producing areas of the Aconcagua Valley. All in all, an ideal experience to disconnect and to feel far from civilisation.
