Program details

Explore Salzburg at your own pace with the hop on-hop off bus tour. See all the top sights and attractions that this beautiful baroque city has to offer. The tickets are available in either 24 or 48-hour formats, allowing you as much time as you need to discover Salzburg’s many palaces, churches, monuments and gardens.

Among the many Salzburg landmarks on this unbeatable itinerary are the world-famous Mozarteum music university, the majestic Makart Square and beautiful baroque Trinity Church. See the renowned State Theatre – which was a popular haunt of the Mozart family – and the former City Hall. Head into the Old Town and see the Capuchin Monastery, the popular Mozart Square and the Italian baroque Kajetan Church, with its broad, palatial façade.

Pass the courthouse, the medieval Steingasse alleyway, the Museum of Modern Art and the House of Nature museum. See the unpretentious St Blasius Church, one of the oldest in the city, and the Getreidegasse, the street that Mozart was born in. Explore a more spiritual Salzburg at the Horse Pond, the onion-domed St Peter’s Abbey, the Great Festival Hall, the ancient Sigmund’s Gate and the Stiegl World of Brewing museum.

Admire the Leopoldskron Palace (which was the Von Trapp family home in the Sound of Music) and the imposing Hohensalzburg Castle, which dominates the city from the top of mount Festungsberg. See the Freisaal Palace, one of Salzburg’s hidden treasures, and the Hellbrunn Palace, where the gazebo from the Sound of Music is located. The bus also passes the Frohnburg Palace, Nonnberg Abbey, Mozart’s home and the magnificent Mirabell Palace.
