Program details

Everglades Area Tours conducts this two-part boating expedition directly in Everglades National Park.

It is a great alternative to an airboat ride offering visitors a quiet, leisurely tour through the Park’s 10,000 Islands coastal ecosystem.

Highlights
- Cruise from one coastal ecosystem to the other
- Get to grips with the rich culture and history tied to this area
- Keep your eyes peeled to ensure you catch sight of as many creatures as possible

Airboats are NOT allowed in the Park due to the noise and their impact on the wildlife and environment. So, we use quiet, comfortable power boats.

First, with your naturalist guide, you will explore the 10,000 Islands searching for birds and wildlife such as roseate spoonbills, osprey, ibis,

great blue herons, snowy egrets, shore birds, bald eagles, racoons, dolphins, sea turtles, manatees, sharks and other creatures.

You will learn will about the Everglades ecosystems, its history and rich culture.

Your guide will then take you on an interpretive stroll on one of the Park’s many uninhabited barrier islands.

Expect lots of learning opportunities in and around the tidal flats, tidal pools, shell wrack-lines and beach dunes.

Although you cannot take them from the Park, expect to encounter more shells than you likely ever have before.

Combine this tour with the Everglades Mangrove Tunnel Kayak Eco Tour for a full day’s experience in the real Everglades.

Do not forget your camera!
