Enjoy the freedom of Buenos Aires with a bicycle tour designed by you on a rented bike. Choose your own itinerary and schedule as you roam around vibrant and colourful neighbourhoods. There is so much to see and do: maybe explore San Telmo to sample life in the oldest part of the city or admire the lively La Boca. Perhaps you can cycle to residential Recoleta or take your bike to the broad boulevards of Retiro. The bikes are comfortable beach cruisers with male or female frames. Helmets and locks are included.

From San Telmo to Retiro, whatever you do and whichever route you take, rest assured that it is bicycle friendly with more than 130km of bike lanes (known as ‘ciclovías’). In La Boca you will discover a colourful and lyrical world where every corner seems to resonate with sensual tango rhythms.

Travel back in time to the Belle Époque – when Argentina was the El Dorado of the world and Buenos Aires known as the ‘Paris of the Americas’ – in San Telmo and Retiro. See some of the city’s most famous landmarks such as the Anchorena Palace, the stock exchange, the Círculo Italiano, the Kavanagh Building art deco skyscraper and the Russian Orthodox Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity. Cycle along the tree-lined Santa Fe Avenue, one of the most elegant boulevards in the capital.

At Recoleta cycle to the famous cemetery, final resting place of famous Argentinians such as Evita Peron, admire the classic charm of the Duhau Palace and the crushing brutalism of the National Library of Argentina.

Meeting/pick-up point: Defensa 831, San Telmo.
Duration: Four hours.
