Program details
The Esquina Carlos Gardel tango dinner show pays homage to the man whose name has become synonymous with this sensual musical genre. The godfather of tango’s life was tragically cut short but his spirit will forever live in the corners of Buenos Aires and specifically in this very corner, where he used to sing a century ago. Come along and live one of the ultimate Buenos Aires experiences, which will linger long in your mind.
At the corner of the alley named after Carlos Gardel there used to be a restaurant that was the gathering place for the colourful characters of the popular market of Buenos Aires. It was here where Carlos Gardel would dine and sing tango songs until sunrise with friends.
Now, you can appreciate in person the genre he popularised in 1917 and which revolutionised the music world with this amazing show. As the lights dim and the orchestra tunes up, elusive legs will begin their seductive and raunchy dance. The sensuality underlying all choreographic patterns combines in a vivid tribute to tango.
Take in the sexy, provocative and romantic vibe that will make your heart pound and your hands sweaty. Esquina Carlos Gardel is perfection personified: impeccable décor, immaculate lighting and lavish surroundings complement the performers on stage. Allow yourself to be carried away by the romantic ambience accompanied by red wine and a delicious menu consisting of starter, main course and dessert; you will feel as if you have been transported to the Belle Époque of turn-of-the century Buenos Aires.
