Program details

We start Early in the morning towards Peninsula Valdes Provincial Reserve. After one hour drive we will arrive at Puerto Piramides, where we will go on a boat trip (optional) to see whales from June to December. After this we head to Faro Punta Delgada Hotel & Restaurante (open from September to early March) to arrive near lunch time. There we will also have the opportunity to go down the beach and walk close to the sea elephants. After that, we continue to Punta Cantor along the eastern coastline of the peninsula and we get to Caleta Valdés (Valdés Inlet). We are shown geological formations there and then we go back to the Ameghino Isthmus, with its interesting interpretation centre. On the way we have good chances of coming across wild land fauna such as guanacos, rheas, foxes, maras (Patagonian hare), armadillos, skunks, etc. Finally, we return to the city of Puerto Madryn at sunset. Between April and July the lighthouse of Punta Delgada is closed, so we can not visit and lunch will be scheduled in Puerto Piramides or Caleta Valdes.
