The Troodos Mountains offer welcome respite to anyone suffering from an overdose of
Mediterranean beach life, stretching across Western Cyprus and rising to a height of nearly 2000m they take you back in time to an older and wiser Cyprus; a world away from the bustle of the coast. Also included in this day is the famous Kykkos Monastery, one of the richest monasteries in Cyprus. It is dedicated to Our Lady, whose icon is encased in silver as it’s forbidden for any one to look at it directly. The monastery was originally founded by the Byzantines in 1092 and is renowned for its wealth of frescoes, colourful mosaics, gold icons and glittering ornamentation. No visit to Cyprus would be complete without seeing this worldrenowned monastery & mountain range.
Meeting/pick-up point: The clients will be picked up from their accommodation between 8am and 8:50am. The customer should call the number in his voucher 48hrs before the tour to confirm the pick-up time.
Duration: Approx. Seven hours.
End/closing time: Drop off between 2:30pm and 4:30pm
