Program details
Day 1: Morning visit to the Dambulla Rock Temple, which was built in the 1st century BC and is a Unesco World Heritage Site. Continue to Polonnaruwa for lunch. Afterwards, embark on city tour of Polonnaruwa. Continue to Sigiriya/ Dambulla/ Habarana (selected hotel) for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: During the morning, explore the Sigiriya Rock Fortress – also a Unesco World Heritage Site - which was built by King Kashyapa (477-495 AD). Continue to Kandy and en route visit a spice garden. Lunch in Kandy. Afternoon city tour. In the evening, witness a cultural Show and visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic. Dinner and overnight stay in Kandy.
Day 3: Morning visit to botanical gardens, arts and crafts centre, a gem museum (optional) and continue with visit to a tea factory in Giragama. On completion, visit the Elephant Orphanage. Lunch in Pinnawela. Return to the beach hotel.
Transportation by A/C vehicle with an English speaking chauffeur guide for groups up to 6 pax and an English speaking guide for groups above 7 pax, entrance fees to Elephant Orphanage, Botanical Garden, Temple of the Tooth Relic, Sigiriya Rock, Dambulla temple and Polonnaruwa, lunch in Kandy & Sigiriya/ Dambulla with dinner/ overnight stay in a 3 star hotel in Sigiriya/Habarana and Kandy included.
Meeting point: Colombo hotel pick-up from 6am with drop off at same from 6pm three days later

Other information: Visitors to religious temples/churches etc are advised to be clad in concealing clothing. Kandy festival supplement of USD65 per room per night (11 Aug 2013 - 21 Aug 2013).
