Program details

This eco-tourism certified small group safari will take you through the natural wonders of the unique Cape Tribulation and Daintree World Heritage listed rainforest. Included in the tour is: a Port Douglas tour and Daintree River wilderness cruise; a Cape Tribulation beach walk; a Mossman Gorge guided tour and lunch in a rainforest setting.

Boasting unique and beautiful flora and fauna, the Daintree rainforest is not to be missed when visiting northern Australia. Experience a short tour of Port Douglas before you continue north through sugarcane to the Daintree River. Take joy in an hour-long cruise where there's a good chance of catching a glimpse of a lazy crocodile or two, tree snakes, pythons and water birds. Journey further north into the mysterious and awesome Daintree National Park - Cape Tribulation area. Your expert guides will provide you with insightful knowledge of the history of the area as you appreciate its stunning beauty. Enjoy a lunch in a rainforest setting and take time to refresh with a swimming opportunity.

Stroll along idyllic Cape Tribulation Beach to the Kulki lookout and observe where two of the world's natural wonders converge - the rainforest gives way to white sand and fringing coral reefs. Cross the Daintree River by cable ferry and arrive at your final destination the Mossman Gorge. Have a cup of tea or coffee with damper before transferring into the Gorge by electric shuttle. On board the shuttle you will hear a brief indigenous commentary before undertaking a complete guided walk of the gorge. Another optional swim is possible here before returning to your accommodation.

Meeting/pick-up point: Accommodation in Cairns and northern beaches.
Duration: Eleven hours.
Start/opening time: Collection at 7.30am.
