Only 2 hours from Osaka by bus, Biwako Valley is located in the number one place for snow fall in Kansai that are rich in variety and snow quality. In addition to the sledging trail there is a half-pipe, a snow park well equipped with snow play items so everyone from children to senior citizens will have a great time. You can also take in a magnificent view of Lake Biwa from the mountain slopes, which supplies water to both Kyoto and Osaka prefecture.
Biwako Valley is the most well-known snow-sports resort in Shiga and for good reason. It boasts eight courses varying in length from a short 400m nursery slope to the fun ‘cruising’ 1400m Champions Course. There is one black run here with an average gradient of 17 degrees and reaching 30 degrees at its steepest point. In short, there is enough here for a skier or snowboarder of any level to enjoy.
Meeting/pick-up point: Namba 'OCAT' 1st Floor. Near large TV and Daiso. The tour conductor will have a sign that says 'Heart Tour'. Pick-up Time: 7:00am.
Duration: 12 hours approx.
Start/opening time: At 7:10am.
Others: Snow wear is not included. Please request and pay at the facility. If lift and ropeway are not in operation due to high winds, the tour will be cancelled.
