PortAventura is hosting the world famous Canadian circus troupe and their spectacular new show Amaluna in the Grand Chapiteau (Big Top). You’re invited into a mysterious land, governed by Goddesses and guided by the cycles of the moon, full of death defying tricks, jaw dropping performances and incredible scenery.

Amaluna is a tribute to the heroism and voice of women and in a first for Cirque du Soleil, the cast is composed of 70% women accompanied by an all-female instrumental band. The island’s queen, Prospera, holds her daughter’s coming-of-age ceremony in a rite that honours femininity, renewal, rebirth and balance; marking the passing of these insights and values from one generation to the next. But all is turned upside down when during a storm a group of young men lands on the island, causing an epic, emotional story of love between Prospera’s daughter and her brave young suitor.

In the face of many obstacles, the couple must confront everything before they can gain mutual trust, faith and harmony. The show challenges us to discover emotions and passions in a tumultuous journey of love, where anything is possible and where anything can be put to the test. You’ll be spellbound by the sheer skill and elegance of the performers who form part of the legendary Cirque du Soleil troupe, as well as the flamboyant and colourful costumes and scenery. You’ll be captivated by a show of light, colour, music and unique sets in an unforgettable and show and take away a special memory with official Cirque du Soleil memorabilia on sale in the Entrance Tent.
