Program details
Enjoy a wonderful day out on this off-road adventure. Our expert drivers show you a different side to Bulgaria, far from the crowded coastal resorts. We’ll drive down dusty mountain tracks through pristine wooded valleys, crossing rushing mountain torrents.
First of all, we’ll climb to the top of the mountains overlooking Golden Sands where you’ll get the chance to take some panoramic photos of the resort and coastline or just admire the awesome views.
Next, we’ll drive go cross-country over a former military training ground, heading for a distillery in a small village in the hills above Varna. There, you will be able to taste ''rakia'', a traditional Bulgarian tipple.
After that, we’ll drive on into a pine forest, where you can try your marksmanship with an air-rifle. Can you hit the target?
The adventure continues as we hit the most picturesque part of the route: we’ll enter the stunning Batova Gora Nature Reserve, driving through beech forests and crossing the Batova River no less than 12 times. The adventure comes to an end in an old-style restaurant, where you will be presented with the traditional welcome gifts of a round loaf, red pepper and a glass of ''rakia'' before sitting down for a tasty lunch of local specialities as you enjoy vibrant Bulgarian folk music and dancing.
After lunch it’s time to retrace our route back down to the coast. The excursion takes approximately six hours and includes lunch as well as the services of local drivers and an English-speaking guide.
