Known as the Pearl of the Black Sea and Bulgaria’s Dubrovnik, Nesebar is a well-preserved ancient town with cobbled streets, traditional houses, painted churches, shops and pavement cafés. It is bursting with life and is a must-see for visitors to the Black Sea Coast.

This one-day fully escorted sightseeing tour is an ideal way for visitors to acquaint themselves with this Unesco World Heritage Site. Nesebar is a settlement with more than 3,000 years of colourful history, situated on small peninsula linked to the mainland by a causeway.

The old town’s most distinctive features are the quaint cobble-stoned streets, the well-preserved medieval churches (there are said to be more than 40!) and the timbered houses dating back to the 19th century. The many handicrafts and souvenir shops, cosy restaurants and pavement cafés add to the colourful atmosphere. The excursion includes a guided walking tour and outside visits to some of the most well-known churches, including Christ Pancreatic and the Old Metropolitan Church. There is also an optional visit of the interior of the Church of St Stephen; now a museum with a breathtaking array of murals and an iconostasis dating back to the Middle Ages.

You will also have more time to explore on your own and plenty of free time for shopping before we leave in the late afternoon. This full-day excursion includes transfer in an air conditioned coach, a guided tour around the town with an English-speaking guide. Please note that meals and refreshments are not included.
