On the first day we depart from São Paulo early in the morning and travel to Ubatuba’s North Beach and after lunch to the South Beach. The beaches in this area have been left untouched by man and you can experience complete tranquility amongst the many flowing rivers and spectacular waterfalls. This is an ideal location for ecotourism; from bird watching to extreme sports, as well as the opportunity to visit several traditional communities formed by the descendants of slaves, Indians and local fishermen. At the end of the afternoon we will return to the hotel.

After a refreshing night´s sleep we visit the Tamar Project. Its objective is to increase the recovery rate of five endangered sea turtle species that we have in Brazil by developing conservation actions, research advancements, and through social inclusion programs. Tamar protects roughly 1,100 km of coastline and oceanic islands through a network of 23 bases throughout nine states. Bases are located in important feeding, nesting, development, and resting areas for these animals. After lunch, we explore Ubatuba´s downtown and at sunset we return to São Paulo.
