Head for the hills and get to know another side to Bulgaria, far from the crowded beach resorts with this exciting Jeep adventure. In this six-hour excursion you’ll see magnificent mountain scenery, visit picturesque villages where time seems to have stood still, shoot air rifles and savour traditional Balkan cuisine as well as many other fun activities. After leaving the resort early in the morning, we’ll meet up at the base camp for a safety talk before heading for the mountains. The first stop will be a TV tower where you can enjoy fabulous views over Sunny Beach, the Nesebar peninsula and the surrounding mountains. Then you can try your marksmanship with an air rifle (after a brief instruction session). After that, we’ll drive off road along dusty tracks through fragrant lavender fields and pine forests towards Morsko, a village in the heart of the Balkan Mountains. During this expedition, we will pass farms and homesteads where horses, sheep and pigs and bred, and where you’ll have the opportunity to meet some of the friendly locals. Then, we’ll continue off-road towards the Bjala River before passing through the Hajiiska River as we head for the village of Poroi, with time for a brief stop at a distillery on the way. We’ll enjoy a traditional Bulgarian lunch at Poroi before heading back down to the coast. You will be accompanied at all times by a knowledgeable local English-speaking guide.
