Program details

Get back to nature on a two day hike through the old indigenous territory of the Panches. Climb up 2,100 metres above sea level to the summit of Quinini Mountain and you’ll be rewarded with fabulous views over Cundinamarca. Spend the night camping under the stars for an adventure that will reinvigorate, refresh and surprise.

Located just one hour away from Bogota, you’ll feel like you’re a world away as you hike through the Quinini Natural Park; home to misty mountain forest and indigenous ceremonial locations. You’ll be navigated and guided through the park with your expert and friendly guide who will be on hand to make sure you get the most out of your experience. Once you reach the summit you’ll be treated to spectacular views over the Magdalena River valley and the imposing snow-capped mountains of the Central Andes range to the west, as well as the Chinauta plateau to the east. But the adventure doesn’t end there. Camp overnight under the stars in the depths of the forest and at sunrise you’ll wake up peaceful and at one with nature. Discover important ceremonial places linked to the Panche indigenous tribe, such as the Indian’s head, Mohan cave and eagle’s beak, as you continue trekking through the natural park. During the ascent you’ll also come across petroglyphs; rock carvings proving the existence of the indigenous tribe, as well as the abundant flora and fauna in the area.
