The reserve is also home to many caves and caverns created by water erosion. Many of caves were adorned with cave paintings by Native inhabitants from the pre-Columbus era. This area is also home to hundreds of different species of birds. The silence of the mangrove swamps interrupted only by the myriad sounds of incredible birdsong and The sight of frigate birds and pelicans circling low overhead, will linger in your memory for years to come.
