The museum recently celebrated its 40th anniversary as one of Canada's most famous attractions, with new exhibitions, science demonstrations, interactive experiences and events. The building also houses a massive Imax Dome, offering fantastic documentaries and other films on a scale that will overwhelm your senses. Children will love KidSpark, a learn-through-play space for the under-eights to discover the wonderful world of science. Build a rollercoaster, blow the biggest bubbles you've ever seen, or experiment with recording music.

The museum hosts scientific discussions as well as live research that visitors can participate in. Exhibitions focus on the potential and limits of the human body, hair-raising encounters with electricity and an opportunity to discover the living earth, meeting snakes, giant cockroaches and poison dart frogs.
