Seeing the magnificent Menorcan horses dance has to be high on everyone’s list of things to do in Menorca. Welcome to Son Martorellet, where a magical evening awaits.

HIGHLIGHTS:

* Admire the skill and beauty of the horses

* New show that has captivated locals and visitors alike

* Equestrian art meets magic and fantasy in an innovative extravaganza

The stables are set out in the style of a small village where the streets and squares bear the name of famous horses from the stud. Inside the complex there is large marquee where you can admire the skill and beauty of the local black thoroughbred horses and their riders.

The Menorcan thoroughbred is black and some believe it to be descended from Arab and Berber breeds whereas others believe it was brought to the island from central Europe by King Jaume I of Aragon. These horses are ideal for the Doma Menorquina style of riding, a central feature of the island's festivities.

Somni, ‘dream’ in Catalan, is Son Martorellet's new show that is captivating locals and visitors alike. For the first time ever in Menorca, equestrian art meets magic and fantasy in an innovative extravaganza, an experience that will touch your heart and soul. Somni tells the story of a young girl's dreams, of her longing to own a horse to share her hoes, fears and adventures with. Come and spend a magical evening full of fantasy and colours in the legendary equestrian traditions of Menorca.
