Ride through the beautiful Sherbrooke Forest on the historic Puffing Billy steam train, get up close to Koalas in their natural habitat and witness the incredible Penguin Parade on this fantastic tour. Combining an enchanting, traditional mode of transport with the very best of local Australian wildlife, this tour is sure to be a hit with the whole family and will leave lasting memories for years to come.

Take a step back in time and ride Australia’s premiere preserved steam railway, the century-old Puffing Billy, and make the original journey on the same mountain tracks as all those years before. Snaking through the beautiful Dandenong Ranges, the low mountains just outside of Melbourne, Puffing Billy will take you on a scenic route from Belgrave to Gembrook. The interior of the train is just as splendid as the countryside it passes through and you will have the opportunity to enjoy a traditional Aussie style Bush Billy Tea served with lamingtons and Vegemite with crackers.

Stop in the town of Sassafras to explore the quaint shops and look for an antique souvenir before travelling to Phillip Island and Churchill Island Farm. Here you will visit the unforgettable Koala Conservation Centre and come face to face with Australia’s most famous bear in its natural habitat. There is a brief stop for afternoon tea before experiencing the wonderful Penguin Parade in the Premium Viewing Area. Watch in wonder as these little penguins return home at sunset to one of the largest penguin colonies in Australia.
