Almost twice the size of Hong Kong and one of the best-loved faraway islands, Lantau is special. A mix of stunning natural landscapes, long sandy beaches and jaw-dropping Buddhist architecture, it’s a tour that will live long in the memory.


Head to Cheung Sha Beach, the longest beach in Hong Kong and tour the quaint fishing village of Tai O. See traditional houses on stilts and witness a pace of life that seems suspended in time, and ride the famous Ngong Ping Cable Car from Ngong Ping Village to Tung Chung Town. Soar 5.7 kilometres over the island’s landscape in what is guaranteed to be a thrilling ride.


Visit the world’s tallest outdoor seated Buddha; 111 feet tall, it is an incredible sight to behold. Tour around the Po Lin Monastery and even enjoy a vegetarian meal within the complex.
