You will enjoy a chance to visit the fountains of Trojan and Polio, the Temple of Hadrian and Domition, the Private House, the Library of Celcius, the Scolastica Baths, the Bouloterion, and the Great Theatre with a capacity for 24,000 spectators.

After lunch, one of the highlights of the day will be the visit to the House of the Virgin Mary, where she spent the last years of her life in the company of St John. Afterwards, you will enjoy a guided visit of the extraordinary Ephesus Terrace Houses, which provide us with a wealth of information about family life during the Roman Empire. Your tour will finish with a visit to the Basilica of St John, constructed in the sixth century to preserve the Apostle’s burial site.




Meeting/pick-up point: Pick up from centrally located Izmir Hotels or Izmir Cruise Port.

Start/opening time: At 9am.

End/closing time: At 5pm.

Opening days/period: Museums are closed on Mondays.

Others: In the event of any museum closures, an alternative will be offered. The itinerary involves a good deal of walking, so comfortable footwear is recommended. The tour includes transfers, transportation in an air-conditioned vehicle, a traditional Turkish lunch and all entrance fees, service charges and taxes. Any personal expenses and drinks during lunch are not included.
