Come and discover the true inland beauty of Gran Canaria, a hiker’s paradise full of natural and historic treasures on its many trekking trails. Away from the hustle and bustle of the busy tourist beaches there is a whole other side to the island often dubbed “A continent in miniature”. With two different hikes designed to suit every level of experience, you are sure to enjoy the islands stunning scenery and diverse wildlife as your expert guides lead you through all Gran Canaria’s highlights and hidden gems.


Almost perfectly circular in shape, Gran Canaria’s highest point in situated right in the centre of the island leading to its alluring cone shaped relief, crisscrossed by stunning gorges and large depressions caused by volcanic activity. It is almost as if the island was designed with hikers in mind. Lose yourself amongst the stunning views and the island’s 32 protected natural areas as you walk through the abundance of flowers, trees and cactus plants.


There are two trekking routes available; if you have little experience of hiking, take the gentle trek that will take you through beautiful scenery without a lot of physical exertion, for those who have hiked previously and are in good condition choose option one, just remember to bring sturdy footwear and prepare for a highly rewarding and unforgettable climb.


ROUTES:

New tours (due to the Winter season):
Krestel Canyon tour: Monday / 8 km / Level 1.5 / 250 hm up – 250 hm down.
Roque Nublo tour: Tuesday / 11 km / Level 2 / 400 hm up – 480 hm down.
The unspoiled West: Wednesday / 11 km / Level 2.5 / 400 hm up – 480 hm down.
Green North Tour: Jueves / 12 km / Level 2.5 / 390 hm up – 590 hm down.
Vulcano and Wine tour: Friday / 9 km / Level 1.5 / 400 hm up – 400 hm down
Santa Lucia tour: Saturday / 8 km / Level 2 / 300 hm up – 300 hm down.


Meeting/pick-up point: Collections outside your hotel in Mogan, Taurito, Playa del Cura, Amadores, Puerto Rico, Maspalomas, Playa del Ingles, Bahia Feliz and San Agustin between.
Start/opening time: At 9am.

Duration: Eight hours.

Languages: English and German.

Others: The tour includes trekking poles, one sandwich and one bottle of water. It is recommended to bring walking clothes, trainers/hiking shoes, sun protection and backpack.
Routes are available according to difficulty. If you have little experience, you should choose an easy route on Friday or Monday that do not require much physical ability. If you are a regular excursionist in good physical condition, we recommend the Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Saturday route.
