With a stable of more than 70 quiet and gentle horses to choose from, this activity offers a safe and relaxing way to see the rainforest. With horses to suit all levels and ages (minimum age four years) this is the perfect family adventure. We use the highest standard of equipment including Safe rider safety stirrups with a quick release mechanism. The horses have a friendly nature and will be matched to each riders experience and ability. We cater for beginners and experienced.

The stables are some 10 minutes from Cairns and the northern beaches so that you can have beach and saddle to suit the whole family requirements. The stables are located in a sugar cane farm and also have an eight-hectare billabong full of birds and amphibious creatures. The horse-riding tour allows you to wander through mangrove wetland, rainforest pockets, native bush and sugarcane fields in a secure and peaceful manner. Ride your horse next to the billabong for a billy tea over the camp fire and try to spot a croc in the wild.

All of the horses, mainly Australian Stock Horses but also Arabians and American Quarter Horses, have their own nice personality and temperament. Most of them average 14 to 15 hands high but we have a wide variety of sizes. The guide will provide an introduction to your horse before you set out. Australian Stock Saddles are the choice.
