Experience a dreamtime walk around the Mossman Gorge, visit a historic sugar cane town, cruise the tropical Daintree River, visit a fruit farm and explore Port Douglas with this fantastic full day tour of one of Queensland’s most beautiful and scenic corners.

After arriving at Mossman Gorge, you will be treated to a guided rainforest walk along private, easy graded tracks, visiting special places and culturally significant sites. See traditional bark shelters and walk over cool rainforest streams. Your experienced indigenous guide will demonstrate traditional plant use, identify bush tucker sources and share dreamtime legends. Your guide will also explain the history of cave paintings and provide enthralling narrative descriptions of the rainforest and divulge to you the special relationship that indigenous people have within this unique tropical environment. After your 1.5-hour walk, enjoy tea, damper and question time with your guide.

See all the fascinating points of interest at Australia’s most northerly sugar town, Mossman. Pause for lunch at the Silky Oaks Lodge, where you can enjoy a delicious barramundi (fish) lunch in this beautiful oasis amidst the rainforest, overlooking the Mossman River. If you’d rather not eat Barramundi there are plenty of other options to choose from. After lunch relax for a fascinating hour cruising through this wild environment home to birds, tree snakes and crocodiles. Don’t forget to bring your camera for plenty of great photo opportunities here.
