Experience the hustle and bustle, the colour and vitality of the wondrous place that is Singapore's Chinatown. With many of the traditional customs still practiced and visible today, this half day tour will stimulate your senses and allow you to experience life of the early Chinese immigrant from birth to marriage to death. Come journey through the customs of an opulent heritage.


For centuries, strongly held Chinese traditions have been practised and passed on to new generations., further cementing their culture in Singapore’s Chinatown. Wander streets lined with paper lanterns and shops selling Chinese wares. Make your way through the district, admiring the eclectic blend of Italianate, Victorian and Oriental architectural styles, with beautiful and often elaborate balconies.


Take the opportunity to learn about many of the customs of the people of both yesteryear and today. Have your future predicted by a fortune teller and receive a brief lesson explaining the Yin and Yang of Chinese medicine. Learn why red umbrellas are carried at a wedding and why joss paper is burned at funerals. Be sure to take in and enjoy all the sights and sounds throughout the busy streets.


Spend the day discovering the reasons behind the traditional practices of the Chinese as you explore their many customs, alive, thriving, and on display in Singapore's Chinatown. The tour ends here and there is no drop off back to the hotel.
