Program details

Journey deep into the heart of one of the greatest natural wonders in the world with this magnificent Macuco safari that includes a wagon trail through the jungle, a hike, a motorboat cruise and a refreshing ‘waterfall shower’ followed by a dramatic rappel descent.

The excitement begins on a Jeep-towed open wagon trail through 3km of the Iguazu National Park, where you will see canyons, wild animals and a spectacular view of the falls.

The hike is the second stage of our adventure and there’s a 600-metre stretch that leads to the Macuco Falls, which spills down from a height of some 20 metres and is a perfect for a refreshing dip on hot days.

You will receive a lifejacket and helmet before you hop aboard the motor boat for an upriver cruise until reaching the base of the falls is, next to the falls known as the ‘Devil’s Throat’. The captain manoeuvres the boat in order to get close enough to provide the passengers with a quick and refreshing shower.

Trek through the rainforests of the Iguazu National Park to the cliff of the canyon. Then experience the breathtaking rappel descent by rope of the 50 metre-plus (more than 180ft) rock cliffs that overlook the waterfalls.
