Il programma nel dettaglio
On this premium tour of three of New Zealand’s top vineyards, you’ll find out why Waiheke Island is renowned for producing some of the New World’s most celebrated artisan wines. You’ll get to sample fine wines at Mudbrick Vineyard, Ridgeview Estate and Te Whau Vineyard.
The tour starts with a scenic cruise across the sparkling waters of the Hauraki Gulf, as we head for Waiheke Island, located just 17km from Central Auckland. Waiheke is home to a dedicated group of winegrowers who have successfully matched the maritime climate and ancient soil structures to the selection of classical grape varieties to produce red and white wines with distinctive varietal character.
The first stop is a visit to the picturesque Mudbrick vineyard overlooking the sparkling waters of the Hauraki Gulf where you will enjoy premium wine tastings. Enjoy fine vintages made from Merlot, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah grapes at the estate’s Provençal style restaurant.
Then you will travel to Ridgeview Estate, Waiheke's newest and highest winery with breath-taking views across the water to Auckland City and the Coromandel. Here, the experience extends to a tour of the vineyard as well as tastings and a mouth-watering plate of nibbles.
The final stop, with further tastings of 5-star quality wines, is Te Whau vineyard, acclaimed for its restaurant as well as stunning views and outstanding architecture. The tour will end back at the ferry terminal for your return trip to Auckland. If you wish you may choose to extend your stay and take advantage of our complimentary All Day Bus Pass, allowing you to discover the island further using Waiheke Island’s scheduled bus services.
