The 15 day Guided self-drive Safari includes 12 nights standard mobile safari with 2 nights hotel/guest house/lodge accommodation

Programa

Day 1: Windhoek
Windhoek, with its lingering heritage of German architecture, activities and atmosphere is a city that can be visited throughout the year. The day is spent at leisure. We are met by our guide at the hotel reception for a briefing at ±18h00.
Overnight: Hotel Safari or similar accommodation (Dinner, own arrangements)

Day 2: Waterberg
The Waterberg Plateau towers 400 metres above the surrounding plains, and 1878 metres above sea level, dominating the landscape for miles around. Waterberg was the site of one of the major turning points in Namibia's History. It was here, on the foothills, that the Herero people lost their last and greatest battle against the German Colonial forces at the beginning of the century. In the afternoon we climb up the plateau and enjoy the amazing view.

Day 3: Etosha National Park
This Park is one of the most important reserves and game sanctuaries in Africa. Thousands of wild animals are attracted to the area, including lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena, elephant, zebra giraffe and several species of antelope. The birdlife is prolific with 326 recorded species. Overnight: Standard Mobile Safari (All meals)

Day 4: Etosha National Park
Early morning and late afternoon game drives are enjoyed with the evenings spent watching an amazing diversity of animals around the floodlit waterhole bordering our campsites.

Day 5: Kaokoland – Himba Visit – Epupa Falls
The Epupa Falls are a series of cascades where the Kunene River drops 60m in 1.5km forming a multitude of channels and rock pools. A variety of birds can be seen in the area. Overnight: Standard Mobile Safari (All meals)

Day 6: Kaokoland – Himba Visit – Epupa Falls
During the morning we visit a Himba village to gain a glimpse into their way of life. The Himbas are a semi-nomadic tribe, who live in scattered settlements throughout the region. Overnight: Standard Mobile Safari (All meals)

Day 7: Kaokoland – Van Zyl's Pass Campsite
We continue our journey towards the western, more remote parts of Kaokoland. A short visit at Otjitanda Primary school to give you an in site of one of the most remote schools one will ever cross. Late afternoon we arrive at Van Zyl's Pass Campsite.

Day 8: Kaokoland – Marienfluss
An early morning start down one of the most talked about Passes in Southern Africa. We continue through Marienfluss towards Cunene River where we will camp for the night.

Day 9: Kaokoland – Purros
Today our journey takes us through one of the least populated areas in Southern Africa. Possible Springbok, Oryx, Ostrich and Cheetah might be seen. As we get closer to Puros the possibility of seeing the desert adapted elephants are good. Overnight at Purros on the banks of the Hoarisib river.

Day 10: Damaraland – Twyfelfontein
An early morning drive takes us to our camp in Damaraland- one of the last true wilderness areas in Africa. We visit the Twyfelfontein area – a UNESCO World Heritage Site with over 2000 rock carvings and walk to view the ancient Bushman rock engravings. Overnight: Standard Mobile Safari (All meals).

Day 11: Damaraland – Save The Rhino Ugab Camp
Today we go off the main road and on the two track 4x4 roads winding through the stunning landscapes of Damaraland. We stop for lunch at the foot of Doros Crater, this area is famous not just for its beauty but also the Black Rhino and Desert Adapted Elephants. We continue towards our Save the Rhino Campsite crossing Divorce Pass heading down the Ugab River. Overnight: Standard Mobile Safari (All meals).

Day 12: Swakopmund
On our way to Swakopmund, we visit Cape Cross Seal Colony, one of the largest mainland seal colonies in the world. Swakopmund, with its German colonial atmosphere, is the principal coastal resort of Namibia. Time is spent at leisure to enjoy the charm of this old town or to undertake one of the many optional activities on offer (scenic flights, hot air ballooning, etc. Own expense). Overnight accommodation in Guest House (Breakfast only).

Day 13: Namib Desert – Sossusvlei
Our journey takes us south to the heart of the Namib Desert. Overnight: Standard Mobile Safari (All meals).

Day 14: Namib Desert – Sossusvlei
The early morning departure for Sossusvlei stopping in the dune belt to enjoy the changing colours of the world's highest sand dunes. The morning is spent walking amongst the dunes of Sossusvlei and Deadvlei. On the way back to our camp we enjoy a short hike through the Sesriem Canyon. Overnight: Standard Mobile Safari (All meals).

Day 15: Windhoek (Breakfast only)
We arrive in Windhoek in the early afternoon ± 13h00.

Tents & equipment:
- 2 person spacious tent, comfortable Dome tent (L2.5m x W2.5m x H1.85m) with built-in groundsheet, 2 large aerating windows with mosquito netting.
- Safari folding chair.
- 2 comfortable camp beds with foam mattress and pillow.
- Large marquee tent (5m x 5m) is used for shade in summer

Food & Drinks for camping
- 3 healthy meals a day during the camp, with dinner served "al fresco" under the stars - the best cuisine Bushman!
- Tea and coffee available in the field.
- Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are not included, but can be purchased at the beginning of the safari and during the journey.
- excludes lunches and dinners in Windhoek and swakopmund.

Transportation:
Toyota hilux or land cruiser x4.

Flights, airport taxes, visa costs, drinks, mineral water, clients’ vehicle fuel, lunch and dinner in Windhoek and Swakopmund, optional excursions, gratuities, towels and items of a personal nature. NAD 4500 will be blocked on the credit card and release when the vehicle is returned undamaged
