This tour will not only give you a complete overview of the important sights and history of the UNESCO world-heritage city but also allow you to explore on your own the must-see spots and hidden gems with the Salzburg Card.



The Grand City Tour by bus starts at the Panorama Tours bus terminal at Mirabell Square. It takes you to all the following sights in 1.5 hours and includes two photo stops:



Leopoldskron Palace: the first photo stop of the Grand City Tour is at the lake across from beautiful Leopoldskron Palace. Use this opportunity to take a great souvenir picture in front of a beautiful backdrop. The Rococo palace was erected in 1736 and became famous as a filming location for “The Sound of Music”. In addition, the Salzburg Festival was founded here by Max Reinhardt, Hugo von Hofmannsthal and Richard Strauss.



Hellbrunn Palace: Another chance to take photos is at the second photo stop at Hellbrunn Palace. It was constructed in the style of the late Renaissance in only three years from 1612 to 1615. A very special feature of the gardens surrounding Hellbrunn Palace are the unique and exceptionally well-preserved trick fountains, which are still in use today.



Salzburg Card 24 h

After the tour, all guests receive their Salzburg Card 24 h (included in the tour price). The card grants you free access to ALL sights in the city of Salzburg.

Don’t miss out on highlights such as the Salzburg Fortress and the free funicular ride, or the Mozart Birthplace and New Residence Museums , Hellbrunn Water Trick fountains including also even the Untersbergbahn cable car.

- Free public transport in the city and several other bus routes (e.g. Gaisbergbus 151, Bus 25 to Hellbrunn and Grödig, etc.) are also included.

- In addition, the card gets you discounts on many other attractions, events and destinations. (Card is valid for 24 hours after first use.)
